Nepal Children’s Organization BAL MANDIR Nepal Children’s Organization (NCO) was established under the National Direction Act- 2018 (1961 A.D.) in 1964 A.D. (2021 B.S.) NCO is also popularly known as Balmandir (The Children’s Temple). NCO is an autonomous, non- governmental, non-profit making and self – governing organization working for the best interest of Nepalese children by protecting and promoting their rights as well as by providing residential care to the children at risk. NCO has nationwide network of 75 districts. Ratna Rajya Laxmi is the founder member of this organization who is the mother queen of Birendra Bir Bikram Shah. During Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Regime, palace was the main, powerful and center administration of Nepal who established this organization with the leadership of his mother.
